The Manager, Global Sourcing – Indirect is responsible for owning and executing sourcing strategies across assigned indirect spend categories while leading sourcing initiatives that support enterprise productivity objectives. This role bridges strategic direction set by senior leadership and day-to-day sourcing execution across Dover Operating Companies. The Manager leads complex sourcing initiatives, manages key supplier relationships, may have direct reports, and partners closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Functional Leaders to deliver cost, service, and risk-mitigation outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Category & Sourcing Strategy Execution
- Own and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect categories (e.g., IT/Digital, CAPEX, Transportation, Professional Services, Facilities, T&E).
- Translate enterprise sourcing priorities into executable category plans and sourcing initiatives.
- Identify, prioritize, and lead strategic and tactical sourcing opportunities across Dover Operating Companies.
- Conduct market intelligence, benchmarking, and spend analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle including opportunity assessment, RFP/RFQ/RFI development, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract execution, and implementation.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, service-level agreements, contractual protections, and risk mitigation measures.
- Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure contracts align with corporate standards and financial objectives.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Own relationships with key strategic suppliers within assigned categories.
- Drive supplier performance through governance mechanisms such as QBRs, scorecards, and escalation processes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities with strategic suppliers.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as a trusted sourcing partner to Corporate and OpCo stakeholders.
- Communicate sourcing strategies, project outcomes, and performance metrics to business leaders.
- Influence decisions in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead cross-functional and cross-regional sourcing teams.
- May directly manage sourcing professionals (Project Managers and/or Analysts).
- Coach and mentor team members to strengthen sourcing rigor, negotiation capability, and stakeholder engagement.
- Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report KPIs include savings, cost avoidance, supplier performance, and compliance.
- Improve sourcing tools, processes, and governance models to support scalability and consistency.
- Ensure adherence to safety, ethics, and company policies.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Five plus years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience leading sourcing initiatives and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Strong analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
- Experience managing indirect spend categories preferred.
- Prior people leadership or significant matrix leadership experience preferred.
- Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or similar) a plus.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Pay Range: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 Annually
Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
