Intern – Recruiting / Talent Acquisition Support (Summer)

We have an excellent opportunity for an Intern – Recruiting / Talent Acquisition Support (Summer), focused on supporting full-cycle recruiting activities and ensuring a positive and efficient candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Source qualified candidates using a variety of recruiting methods, including Boolean searches, job boards, social media platforms, and internal databases
- Review and screen resumes to assess candidate qualifications and alignment with open roles
- Conduct initial candidate prescreens via phone or video to evaluate skills, experience, and interest
- Assist recruiters with interview scheduling and coordination with hiring managers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Track recruiting metrics and generate reports using Excel and other tools
- Support job posting creation and distribution across multiple platforms
- Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Assist with ad hoc recruiting and HR-related projects as needed
Internship positions at Amentum provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside experienced recruiting professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and gain hands-on exposure to talent acquisition best practices.
The Amentum Talent Acquisition team is looking for qualified candidates to support the Telecommunications Group in Philadelphia, PA this summer. This is a remote position but may require coming into the office on an as-needed basis. Local candidates are preferred.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in at least junior year at an accredited college or university
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) and Microsoft Word
- Computer savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
- Familiarity with sourcing techniques, including Boolean search strings, preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without current or future visa sponsorship

Compensation Details:
$20 - 23
