Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance products.
- Assist customers in selecting merchandise, demonstrating product features, and answering questions to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques.
- Maintain organized inventory records, conduct stock checks, and support inventory management processes.
- Support e-commerce operations by assisting customers with online orders and providing information about products available both in-store and online.
- Foster positive relationships through excellent customer service, active communication skills, and multilingual support when applicable.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, floral design or gardening is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset.
- Organizational skills to manage stocking duties and maintain an inviting store environment are highly desirable.
