Be the primary interface with external customers and Certification Compliance Finders in support of software certification activities.

Be the primary point of contact for the project team for questions against process, plans, standards, and policies.

Coordinate program-level certification activities.

Collaborate with other certification focals in the department.

Perform technical coordination with various teams, including, but not limited to, customers (internal and external), systems engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, partner suppliers, safety engineers, and program managers.

Demonstrate good judgement by quickly assessing the cost, benefit and risks of decisions, and apply critical thinking and sound logic to make well-informed decisions.

Estimate, track and report on technical scope, cost and schedule for certification activities.
-
Proactively identify and manage risk associated with the certification aspects of displays programs.
-
Mentor other team members and help them develop in areas such as certification, systems engineering, software engineering, and process compliance.

May assist with other systems engineering team activities when certification work is reduced at certain periods during the development life cycle; systems engineering team activities may include requirements capture, system design and modeling, integrating with hardware and software components, system validation and verification.

Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

1+ years of experience working with E-UMs/TCRs for SOI audits.
-
3+ years of experience with DO-178 commercial certification process.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Familiarity with the application of the certification objectives defined in DO-178B/C for Air Transport category airplanes.

Experience with the Seattle ACO and E-UMs from major OEMs is highly desired.

Experience developing avionics systems using Model-Based Development (MBD).

Experience with DO-330, DO-331, and DO-332.
-
Experience with ARINC standards such as ARINC 429, ARINC 664 and ARINC 661.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
