Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations who will be responsible for leading the operations organization as well as driving current and future business development opportunities that align with site strategy and capabilities. In addition, you will act as a customer focal point, ensuring customer quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met. As a Senior Operations leader you will also be responsible for working alongside other organizations and operations functions to optimize business processes and develop talent within the manufacturing site.

What You Will Do:

Lead and oversee manufacturing operations and adjacent functions to ensure daily production requirements, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.

Drive operational execution and implement corrective actions for deviations to production plans or business objectives.

Serve as the operational leader and representative of the organization with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Partner with business development, strategy, engineering, quality, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to support business growth, operational readiness, and customer commitments.
-
Support production, repair, overhaul, and new product introduction activities while advocating for customer requirements and operational excellence.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles, root cause corrective action, and operational performance metrics.

Ensure effective production scheduling, inventory optimization, materials management, and manufacturing execution.
-
Build strong relationships and credibility across all levels of the organization while influencing stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
-
Promote a safe, inclusive, and people-focused culture by providing actionable feedback, development opportunities, and leadership support.

Support business travel up to 20%.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
-
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or operations management.
-
Experience in aerospace, automotive, metal fabrication, welding, machining, mechanical assembly, or other complex manufacturing environments.
-
Experience with manufacturing operations, production scheduling, materials management, and/or quality systems.
-
Experience leading teams within a matrixed organization and collaborating across multiple functional areas.
-
Experience in crisis management, operational recovery, and/or execution in dynamic manufacturing environments.
-
Experience implementing and managing Operations Management Systems, including performance metrics, accountability routines, standard work, and operational governance processes.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing experience, with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

Experience with MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP.
-
Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing environments.
-
Experience with operational recovery plans, capacity management, and production ramp-up initiatives.
-
Customer-facing experience with emphasis on quality, delivery, and operational performance.

Understanding of materials processes, inventory optimization, and manufacturing process control.

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, line disruptions

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
