Job Purpose and Summary:
Position Summary: Automated Dispensing Unit (ADU) Pharmacy Technicians take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients, and they demonstrate ethical conduct and always maintain patient confidentiality. Success for incumbents in this role includes being able to manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team’s ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly, safely and accurately. Also, helps facilitate local client relationships by being the liaison between our clients and the pharmacy. Providing ongoing client support to help identify opportunities to drive customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include the replenishment, audit, and support for ADU cabinets installed at our customer’s facilities. Customer service/liaison representative. This includes driving to and from the facilities in company owned vehicles and ensuring regulatory compliance inside and outside of the pharmacy.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. ADU Support - 70%
Use of mobile phones and applications to navigate your route using basic internet applications and GPS functions per designated route sequence
Review and complete Driver Safety policies, training and SOPs yearly
2. Pharmacy Technician - 20%
May prepare medications by measure, mix, count out, label and record amounts and dosages of highly regulated medications according to prescription orders following Long Term Care Pharmacy policies, regulations, and procedures.
Rotate and work within assigned pharmacy workstations, to safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions all while providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations. Workstations include Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Cycle Fill, Machine Packaging
Responsible to receive product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
3. Customer Service/Liaison - 10%
Education:
High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) - Required
Other License(s): Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
Prior Relevant Work Experience:
1 to 3 years - Preferred
Minimum (Required) Qualifications
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required
Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
PTCB National Certification
The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
Is able to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem
Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
Customer service orientation
Possess geographical knowledge of service area
Current, valid driver’s license in the state at the level required for the vehicle’s operation
Ability to drive for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the long-term care industry
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $28.46
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
