Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.

Linux Server management to include configuration and maintenance.

Windows Server management fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.

Design, build, configure, install, monitor, and support the scalable physical and virtual backup environment.
-
Manage backup operations to include scheduling and monitoring jobs, troubleshooting failures, and monitoring completion and storage capacity.

Develop and test disaster recovery plan to include data restoration, system recovery, and business continuity.
-
Implement, and maintain storage systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
-
Perform capacity planning and performance monitoring and tuning.
-
Provide advanced support on L2/L3 tickets and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users.

Administer and optimize virtualization platforms.
-
Provide technical guidance on implementation, integrations, and upgrade initiatives

Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.

Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
-
Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Travel is required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience

Must have Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Must have Linux or Windows experience.

Experience with NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel protocols.
-
Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
-
Must have experience in one of the following: VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

Scripting experience.

Experience with developing documentation and communicate technical processes.
Qualifications We Prefer

Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).

Experience with Containerization Technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, and Rancher.

Experience with Continuous Integration\Continuous Delivery Tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

Experience with NetApp or Tape Library

Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.

In-depth working experience with Windows Server.

Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions – Centrify.

Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
-
Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
-
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
-
Experience with Commvault, Veeam, or NetBackup.
-
High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
