Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and growth performance of the Los Angeles, CA market. This role provides leadership to site management teams, builds and maintains strong client relationships, drives financial performance, and ensures consistent execution of contracted services across the market. The Branch Manager partners closely with Sales, Operations, and senior leadership to expand the Los Angeles portfolio, manage budgets, develop talent, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
- Ensure delivery and execution of all contracted services across the region.
- Maintain a deep understanding of site operations, contracts, scope of work, and client-specific requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits and participate in ongoing onsite client meetings.
- Develop site-specific performance standards and ensure portfolio-wide consistency.
- Continuously monitor site performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure quality checks and inspections are completed according to plan.
Financial & P&L Management
- Maintain full P&L responsibility for a multi-discipline facility services portfolio.
- Develop, manage, and forecast accurate budgets.
- Review financial performance regularly and course-correct as needed.
- Ensure cost control measures and metrics are in place to monitor spend against budget.
- Partner with internal teams and clients to ensure timely billing and collections.
- Negotiate adjustments to staffing or compensation models based on operational needs and market conditions.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly financial and operational reports.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop site managers and operational leaders.
- Build and maintain a high-performing, results-driven team.
- Ensure proper documentation of employee onboarding, training, badging, safety, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Client Relations & Growth
- Build long-term, trusted partnerships with clients at each site.
- Respond to client communications with urgency and professionalism.
- Escalate issues appropriately to protect ABM’s client relationships and brand.
- Identify and pursue incremental revenue opportunities, including upselling services beyond contractual scope.
- Partner with Sales to grow the branch through new and existing client opportunities.
- Represent ABM within industry groups and professional associations (e.g., BOMA).
Safety, Compliance & Vendor Management
- Drive a strong safety culture and reinforce ABM and client safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and ABM policies and procedures.
- Partner with third-party vendors and suppliers for materials, equipment, pricing, and services.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of management experience in related industries.
- Minimum of 7–10 years in facility services or building management (multi-site experience preferred).
- Experience supporting commercial office, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or facility engineering environments preferred.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% within the branch and up to 10% outside the region.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
