As an HR Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting Amazon's global workforce by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly employees across multiple countries. This position demands real-time problem-solving skills and an unwavering commitment to maintaining zero-error payroll processing standards. Your core responsibilities will include processing base pay corrections aligned with payroll cut-offs and policy rates, managing compensation adjustments for job code and status changes, and resolving employee tickets through comprehensive documentation review. You'll administer human resources policies and procedures pertaining to employee relations while researching and analyzing data to support HR decision-making.
You'll collaborate closely with upstream teams, HR, Legal, Payroll, and Benefits while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance standards. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement by documenting process gaps, preparing SOPs and Root Cause Analysis reports, and building knowledge base resources that strengthen team capabilities. This role requires flexibility to work across different time zones to support global operations, including deadline-driven payroll processing periods which may include extended hours during month-end and year-end cycles.
Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate cross-functional HR projects from initiation through completion, developing detailed project plans with defined milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Tracking project progress, identifying risks and dependencies, and escalating issues proactively to ensure on-time delivery.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with stakeholders, prepare project documentation including charters, status reports, and post-implementation reviews, and maintain organized project repositories for audit readiness.
- Project management scope will also encompass managing system implementation initiatives, coordinating user acceptance testing, and driving change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new tools, policies, and processes across global teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and 2–4 years of HR operations, payroll, or project management experience. Proficiency in HRIS systems (PeopleSoft preferred), Excel, and project management tools is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities across different time zones.

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30.99/hour - $35.12/hour.
