Security Technician

KBR is seeking highly trained Security Technicians to support operations at the KBR Test Facility (KTF) in Lubbock, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting personnel, facilities, and test assets during routine operations and high‑tempo test events. You will work closely with on‑site management, security teams, and local emergency services to maintain a safe and secure environment. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and sound judgment in dynamic operational settings. Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence through fixed posts and mobile patrols to deter and detect security incidents.
- Safeguard personnel, property, and facilities against fire, theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other hazards.
- Coordinate and oversee site security coverage, including scheduling and directing security personnel during test events.
- Control access at designated entry and exit points by conducting identification checks and enforcing access procedures.
- Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services to support incident response and emergency situations.
- Participate in daily operational briefings during test events to align security posture with test schedules and risk considerations.
- Identify, document, and report suspicious activities or security incidents to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Operate designated vehicles to conduct patrols and respond to security needs across the test facility.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training in Law Enforcement.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in Security or Law Enforcement roles.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with experience operating both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and/or First Responder certification.
- Class M license or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Location: Lubbock, TX
Schedule: Rotating shifts aligned to test events (day / split / night)
