Technical Business Analysts
What does a successful Technical Business Analyst do at Fiserv?
A successful Technical Business Analyst at Fiserv bridges business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. They translate business goals into clear technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can execute. They drive clarity across process, data, and system impacts so delivery stays aligned to outcomes.
What you will do?
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements; ensure completeness, traceability, and alignment to business goals.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points, and priorities; translate needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Define and document process flows, use cases, and data models to support end-to-end solution understanding.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business teams and engineering, partnering with architects and developers to clarify requirements, review designs, and support API/integration/data mapping and trade-off discussions.
- Operate within Agile/Scrum delivery by grooming and prioritizing backlogs, maintaining Jira artifacts and documentation, supporting sprint ceremonies, planning/executing UAT for business sign-off, and validating delivered solutions against requirements.
What you must have?
- 8+ years of experience in 1+ of the following roles: Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Product Analyst (technical focus).
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum teams across the SDLC.
- 2+ years of experience supporting distributed systems and integrations (including API and data mapping work).
- Bachelor’s degree (1) in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
What would be nice to have?
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
- 1+ cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with 1+ year exposure.
- 3+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence and/or Azure DevOps for story/epic management and documentation.
