MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Mechanical Engineer to join our team in
Silverdale,
WA. This is an
onsite position.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Lead the design, development, and testing of specialized engineering projects associated with Navy acoustics, vibration analysis, and signal processing
- Engineer modular data acquisition systems (DAQ) for the certification of naval equipment, integrating multiple sensor inputs including pressure, temperature, and frequency-domain insights
- Conduct advanced vibration analysis and precision machinery balancing to enhance the reliability of nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers
- Prepare automated report generation suites and technical documentation for naval equipment certification
- Coordinate team tasks, schedules, and safety protocols for complex engineering test stands
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in noise-critical environments or vibration analysis
- Proficiency in LabVIEW for automated sequencing, control, and data logging
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and Solidworks for numerical analysis and component design
- Demonstrated knowledge of underwater acoustics
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation
- Self-starter with excellent people skills
Clearance Requirements
- Must have a current Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
