The Senior Analyst supports the Pharmacy Services accounting organization by handling core accounting and reporting functions that keep daily operations running accurately and on time. The position partners closely with finance, accounting and managed service teams and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct research on expense account balances within the general ledger, particularly in the Selling, General, and Administrative (SG&A) area, to analyze payments and determine the necessity of accruals.
- Support quarter-end close activities, including reporting and serving as a liaison for audit requests.
- Coordinate with manager to implement opportunities to improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency by enhancing manual processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance and Reporting teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in financial reporting.
- Support system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives, as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel with intermediate to advanced skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month‑end close.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Prior experience supporting balance sheet accounts and/or reporting.
- Experience with large financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Excel4Apps).
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
