The Class Desk (Asst Program Manager, Engineering) serves as the operational and fleet‑focused liaison between engineering teams and program leadership. This role ensures operational requirements, constraints, and impacts are integrated into technical planning, execution, and decision‑making for CuXS systems, particularly where system performance affects safety and mission readiness.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and fleet representatives.
- Integrate operational requirements and fleet priorities into technical discussions and planning efforts.
- Advise program leadership on operational impacts of system issues, failures, and proposed changes.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to address fleet‑driven requirements and concerns.
- Support assessments of system performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Facilitate communication between technical and operational communities to support informed decision‑making.
Basic Qualifications
- Clearance & Citizenship: Active/Current Secret, with eligibility to obtain Top Secret. U.S. citizenship required.
- Education & Experience: Master’s in Engineering or an Engineering/STEM Discipline & 8+ years of experience, OR Bachelor’s in Engineering or an Engineering/STEM Discipline & 12+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with operational or fleet organizations.
- Background supporting safety‑critical or mission‑essential systems.
- Experience bridging technical and operational communities.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $132,000-$198,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
