Responsibilities
Here is some of your day:
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and other electrical system components.
- Use common HVAC-R trade tools in daily work, including multimeters, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, and hand tools.
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment and communicate recommended corrective actions.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for commercial HVAC systems, ice machines, and supporting equipment.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty-related service work as needed.
- Service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial ice machines and related refrigeration components.
- Respond to emergency service calls promptly and efficiently.
- Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians when needed.
- Keep daily logs and accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Assist with customer inquiries in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of field-based commercial HVAC or HVAC-R experience, including experience servicing refrigeration equipment and ice machines.
- An EPA Universal certification
- A safety-first mind set and the ability to provide your own hand tools
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize service calls, and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Comfortable and capable of working at elevated heights
Preferred
- HVAC trade, technical school, or vocational training
