This position is onsite, based in our Elon assembly facility, and the base schedule is Monday through Thursday 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, requires the ability to work overtime as needed. Bilingual English and Spanish speaking skills preferred.
SCOPE:
The Team Lead is responsible for supervising a diverse team, ensuring the efficient and high quality production of products. This includes monitoring work progress, training employees, and communicating production goals and procedure changes. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of the assembly process and prior experience in a Team Lead role. In addition, Team Lead II’s must have high attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively, skill in critical thinking and problem-solving, and a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead safety toolbox talks, participate in monthly plant safety meetings, & 6S Kaizen events.
- Perform in process layered audits to ensure procedures are being followed and documentation is being completed thoroughly.
- Maintain LDM boards with correct data, owners, and actions.
- Update hour by hour boards to demonstrate team performance and work order status.
- Review and execute work-center schedules for on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Maintenance department to ensure machine uptime status is optimized.
- Assign daily tasks & duties to operators.
- Manage rework and scrap process.
- Maintain accurate inventory data on all components counted for scrap, excess, etc.
- Maintain FIFO and WIP lanes.
- Lead and participate in kaizen events aimed to eliminate waste and to increase productivity.
- Work with training coordinator to develop team members.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Must demonstrate integrity in all aspects of performance.
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Skill in critical thinking or using logic and reasoning to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
- Skill in problem detection and solving or recognizing when something is wrong, or likely to go wrong, and using critical thinking to execute a solution.
- High attention-to-detail, including the ability to accurately follow instructions and execute production.
- Ability to manage a diverse group of people.
- Ability to disseminate information thoroughly and accurately to a multilingual population.
- At least 1-3 years of leadershp experience as a team lead or a similar role.
