Director, Oracle Fusion Transformation & Platform Engineering
Job Summary:
The Director of Oracle Fusion Transformation & Platform Engineering is responsible for establishing and leading the Oracle Fusion Technology Center of Excellence (COE) and the technical delivery teams that build and run enterprise product capabilities across Oracle Fusion Cloud. This role builds and operates the enterprise capability needed to implement, extend, integrate, secure, and continuously improve Oracle Fusion across business functions and operating units. The Director oversees the end-to-end delivery of a multi-year transformation program, including strategy development, program governance, business process redesign, platform architecture, and cross-functional execution.
The COE provides platform engineering, delivery governance, architectural standards, reusable accelerators, and enablement to product teams and business stakeholders—while the delivery organization builds, enhances, and supports prioritized Fusion capabilities—ensuring Oracle Fusion is standardized, scalable, secure, resilient, and AI-ready.
This position is based out of our corporate offices in Reading. PA. This an office first position, at least 3 days in office.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Transformation Leadership
- Establish and lead the Oracle Fusion Technology COE, defining the vision, service catalog, operating model, and multi-year roadmap for enterprise capabilities across the Fusion cloud.
- Build and manage cross-functional COE teams and technical delivery pods across business and technological functions (e.g., HR, Supply Chain, Asset Management, Finance, IT) to deliver, support, and continuously improve Oracle Fusion product capabilities.
- Lead the technical product delivery organization for Oracle Fusion, including capability roadmaps, team backlogs, release planning, quality, and production support.
- Own enterprise prioritization and outcomes for Fusion enhancements, releases, and platform investments assuring alignment to strategic objectives, value realization, and organizational priorities.
- Create and maintain enterprise standards, reference architectures, integration patterns, and reusable accelerators to increase delivery velocity and reduce customization risk.
- Program Governance & Management
- Establish COE governance including intake and demand management, portfolio prioritization, release governance, steering committee updates, milestone tracking, risk management, and change control.
- Monitor delivery and operational performance; define and track KPIs/SLOs, escalate critical issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure reliable service within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Provide regular executive-level reporting on roadmap progress, value delivery, service health, risk posture, and adoption.
- Cross-Functional & Vendor Leadership
- Coordinate with functional leaders to drive consistent decision-making and integrated execution.
- Manage COE partner strategy and relationships with system integrators, Oracle representatives, and third-party vendors to ensure contractual, delivery, and quality standards are met.
- Drive accountability across internal and external teams for program deliverables.
- Business Process Transformation
- Partner with process owners to design future-state, end-to-end processes across relevant Oracle Fusion domains based on business priorities.
- Ensure process standardization, adoption of best practices, and alignment to Oracle Fusion capabilities.
- Platform Engineering & Architecture Ownership
- Own the Oracle Fusion Cloud platform architecture for the enterprise, including environment strategy, integration architecture, extension strategy, data patterns, and non-functional requirements.
- Lead COE engineering and product delivery teams responsible for configuration and enhancements, integrations and data flows, testing automation, release management, and overall application reliability.
- Define and enforce COE technical standards and governance (architecture review, design patterns, OIC integrations, PaaS extensions, configuration controls, and data models).
- Design secure, scalable, and compliant architectures within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Security, Identity & Compliance Governance
- Oversee identity and access management (IAM) for Oracle Fusion platforms, including MFA, role provisioning and applicable compliance and controls.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and security requirements across all business processes and technical configurations.
- Engineering Delivery & Operations
- Establish and continuously improve COE delivery practices (sprints, configuration/change management, QA, SIT/UAT, regression testing, and production readiness) to ensure consistent execution across teams.
- Implement and maintain automation and CI/CD approaches for Fusion configurations, integrations, and PaaS workloads, including environment promotion, testing automation, and observability.
- Operate a reliable Oracle Fusion service using ITSM practices (incident/problem/change), release cadence management, and continuous improvement to support enterprise operations.
- Data, Reporting & Analytics Enablement
- Define COE data and integration patterns in partnership with Data Engineering, including canonical models, data quality controls, and governance for Fusion-sourced data.
- Leverage AI as a key accelerator to modernize workflows and enhance enterprise capabilities.
- Enable enterprise reporting through standardized KPIs, dashboards, and semantic definitions, and by accelerating delivery via reusable data products.
- Drive improved data quality and reconciliation controls and integrate Fusion data with enterprise platforms using governed interfaces and monitoring.
- Change Management & Communication
- Collaborate with internal communications and change management teams to drive stakeholder engagement and adoption.
- Establish COE enablement (training, playbooks, office hours, and a community of practice) to drive adoption, self-service, and consistent delivery.
- Ensure consistent change of messaging aligned with program objectives and timelines.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience leading large-scale ERP, SaaS, or enterprise transformation programs
- Minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for building, managing, and developing high-performing teams
- Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, and/or CX) and platform capabilities
- Proven experience establishing and operating a Technology Center of Excellence (COE) or shared services model for enterprise platforms
- Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), PaaS extensions, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) frameworks
- Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-functional, multi-region transformation initiatives
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, data models, and scalable SaaS platform design
- Experience leading program governance, including portfolio management, prioritization, risk mitigation, and executive reporting
- Strong business and operational acumen with the ability to align technology delivery to enterprise strategy and value realization
- Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders to drive process transformation and adoption of standardized best practices
- Experience implementing modern engineering practices including Agile delivery, CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps in SaaS environments
- Ability to work closely with software vendors and their support organizations to understand product roadmaps, influence future releases, and provide input into platform design and enhancements
- Experience managing system integrators, external partners, and third-party vendors to deliver against contractual and performance expectations
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills, with experience driving enterprise adoption and engagement
