JOB TITLE: ESTIMATOR
About The Role
Estimator developsaccurate, competitive cost estimates for the low-voltage systems in large-scalehyperscale data center projects, analyzing blueprints and specifications todetermine material, labor, and other costs. Key responsibilities includepreparing detailed proposals, coordinating with sales and project management,tracking scope changes and change orders, sourcing vendor pricing, and ensuringcompliance with industry standards. The role requires expertise instructured cabling, low-voltage systems, hyperscale designs, and familiaritywith bidding software like Bluebeam.
What You’ll Do
- Cost estimating: Prepare comprehensive estimates for materials, labor, engineering, and other expenses for hyperscale data center project.
- Bid and proposal management: Develop detailed bid packages, including pricing documentation and risk factors, to submit to clients and meet contractual deadlines.
- Document analysis: Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical specifications, and project documents to determine the full scope of work, identify inconsistencies, and assess requirements.
- Vendor and subcontractor coordination: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure accurate pricing for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and project compliance.
- Project collaboration: Work closely with sales, project management, procurement, and executive team to ensure accurate estimates and smooth transitions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk management: Identify potential project risks, monitor scope changes, and prepare timely change orders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications like Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) may be beneficial.
Experience
- 3+ years in cost estimating large scale hyperscale data center
- Technical Proficiency, having a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, electrical systems, and construction practices, including low-voltage systems.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam).

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Estimator position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Estimator position is $125,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
