Summary Section:
Responsible for start-up and plant operations activities including equipment and system checkout, inspection for proper installation, review for correct design, and calculation of expected system and equipment operating parameters under temporary start-up conditions. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 20+ years.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates start-up operations, including the direction of craft, and all other start-up activities such as flushing, chemical cleaning, and initial equipment and system operation.
Coordinates performance tests and calculates test results and heat balances.
Performs calculations required to properly evaluate design changes, provides engineering reports for the engineering department to assist in design change preparation.
Works with client at the site. Under broad direction, interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.
Applies advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility such as a function or product. Job role contributes directly to value creation.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning deliverables for a detailed engineering project.
The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and initial operation activities for both process and utility systems.
Responsibilities include the development of commissioning and pre-commissioning execution plans, sequences, task registers, and systemization deliverables.
The position also ensures the preparation and management of spare parts, consumables, tools, and specialized tools required for commissioning and early operations.
Additional responsibilities include the preparation and review of operating manuals and testing procedures, as well as overseeing activities such as drying, inerting, leak and tightness testing, vessel and tank initial loading, and overall plant start-up.
