Semper Solaris, the fastest growing leader in the Residential Roofing and Solar Installation industry, is looking for an experienced and motivated leader for our Outside Sales team. With locations in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, Bakersfield, Sacramento, and the Bay Area, Semper Solaris installs new roofs, provides re-roofing services, and designs and installs solar power systems. SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Director of Outside Sales, the Sales Manager is responsible for the training, development, and performance of our sales team in the Los Angeles market . The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a proven sales leader with a track record of leading revenue-generating teams through significant growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership in the development of our people, services, and our processes
- Serve as subject matter expert on items related to solar sales in assigned market
- Running in- home appointments
- Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas
- Lead weekly team meetings to review metrics, communicate organizational directives, and engage with team
- Handle escalated customer concerns
- Negotiate contracts and process exception requests on behalf of Semper Solaris
- Conduct annual performance management for team members, recommending additional learning opportunities and recommending promotions
- Approve customer promotions and discounts, as necessary
- Own the scheduling process and make configurations as needed
- Other tasks and duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years’ experience in the solar industry, with 2 years in a sales management capacity
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organization skills with the ability to motivate and engage employees
- Proficiency in Salesforce, required
- CRM experience, required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license
- Must meet strict internal company guidelines to obtain driving clearance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Must be able to maintain a high level of quality assurance with an emphasis on safety
