The Enterprise Service Applications (ESA) Payroll Digital Technology Services team is looking to add a Payroll Support lead to the team. It’s an exciting and challenging role for the right individual – someone that thri
ves in an environment where there’s no playbook, isn’t afraid of day to day change, and is eager to roll up their sleeves, solve problems and execute. This role will support our US payroll organization. Working as a team on production support activities through participation in deployment from the initial concept phase through full roll-out to our customers of projects. There will be an opportunity to shape and influence the development methods, working in collaboration with world class partners and customers.
What You Will Do:
The Payroll Support Lead is responsible for delivering reliable, efficient, and secure payroll technology services across multiple platforms and processes. Key responsibilities include:

Designing, maintaining, and enhancing Linux-based distribution systems, including developing and modifying shell scripts, managing automated and manual file distribution, resolving FTP and email delivery issues, and reviewing scripts for migration activities.

Supporting and developing SQR programs by modifying, testing, and migrating SQRs; scheduling and executing SQR processes; and ensuring compatibility within EV5 Linux environments.

Providing technical support to Payroll Operations by coordinating SQR scheduling in ADP Autosys, creating SQL queries for reporting and audits, resolving SQR issues, and evaluating modification requests or enhancements.

Participating in acquisition and divestiture activities by providing research, reviewing database implications, validating benefits information, attending meetings, and supporting SQR program changes and testing needs.

Executing key year-end payroll processes such as relocation, specialty payouts, healthcare cost reporting, and W-2 data preparation, including loading data into required tables and coordinating corporate reporting files.

Maintaining and troubleshooting payroll-related Microsoft Access databases, including modifying structures and resolving data or system issues.

Supporting day-to-day payroll processing through creation of custom reports, resolution of shell script and SQR issues, handling processing-related inquiries, and participating in Payroll Touchpoint meetings.

Managing other recurring payroll processes such as earnings/deductions/taxes uploads, retrieval of secure files, and handling assets like manual check logos.

Conducting analysis, research, and testing for SQR coding changes; validating SQR updates in testing environments; and coordinating with ADP for implementation.

Contributing to project lifecycles through meeting participation, requirements research, development activities, UAT testing, implementation execution, and go-live support.

Supporting benefit-related payroll processing by researching and troubleshooting balancing issues, maintaining data tables, and coordinating integration scheduling with Payroll Operations and our payroll vendor ADP.

Creating, troubleshooting, and scheduling payroll reports to support ongoing payroll reporting needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience

Onsite/Hybrid: Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
