Job Description
Are you a recent HR graduate or early-career professional eager to start your recruitment career? Join our European Talent Acquisition team at U.S. Bank in Cherrywood, Co. Dublin as an Entry-Level Recruiter. In this role, you’ll gain experience across the full hiring process with plenty of support and training. We’re looking for someone with a solution-focused attitude, a problem-solving mindset, and a strong willingness to learn. You’ll work in a values-driven, inclusive environment that encourages your growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Full-Cycle Recruitment: Assist in the end-to-end hiring process across Europe – from posting jobs and screening applications to scheduling interviews, managing offers, and helping new hires with onboarding.
- Collaborate with Hiring Teams: Work closely with Hiring Managers and HR colleagues to understand role requirements and help develop effective hiring strategies. You’ll learn how to advise and support managers in finding the right talent.
- Source & Attract Candidates: Use job boards, social media (e.g., LinkedIn), referrals, and other creative methods to find and engage potential candidates. Over time, you will build skills in talent sourcing and learn to map out where to find the best people.
- Ensure Great Candidate Experience: Provide clear communication and timely feedback to candidates at each step. Help coordinate structured interviews and make sure every candidate feels respected and informed throughout the process.
- Data & Process Management: Maintain accurate records in our Applicant Tracking System (Workday). Learn to track key recruitment metrics (like time-to-hire) and use data to suggest improvements. Ensure all recruitment activities follow our policies and European legal requirements, with guidance from the team.
Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Recent graduates are welcome – this role is designed to help you grow.
- Communication & People Skills: Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude. You’re comfortable reaching out to new people and can build positive relationships with colleagues and candidates.
- Organised & Detail-Oriented: Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks or job openings at once. You pay attention to details – whether it’s scheduling interviews or entering candidate data – and you ask questions when you’re unsure.
- Tech-Savvy & Quick Learner: Comfortable learning new systems and tools. Experience with any Applicant Tracking System (e.g., Workday) or MS Office is a bonus. More importantly, you’re eager to learn new technologies and follow processes carefully.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A solution-focused, can-do attitude. When faced with a challenge, you stay positive and think of ways to solve it. You’re adaptable and open to feedback, always looking to improve.
Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- Analytical Interest: Comfort with data or any experience from your studies using Excel or analytics tools. You’ll eventually use data to improve hiring processes, so an interest in HR analytics is a plus.
- Knowledge of HR Best Practices: Basic understanding of employment law or recruitment best practices (from coursework or reading). Your awareness of things like fair hiring and diversity & inclusion will be valued as you grow in the role.
What Sets You Apart
- Candidate-Centric Approach: You care about people’s experience. You understand that being responsive and respectful to candidates reflects our company’s values and reputation.
- Eager to Learn & Improve: You have a strong willingness to learn. You take initiative to seek feedback, ask questions, and pursue training opportunities. Every challenge is a chance for you to grow your skills.
- Team Player with Integrity: You work well with others and share our core values of integrity, inclusivity, and collaboration. You take ownership of your tasks, but you’re also not afraid to ask for help. You want to contribute to a positive team atmosphere where everyone succeeds together.
