HR Operations Advisor (Contract)

Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join a collaborative team dedicated to supporting managers and employees through expert consultation, performance management guidance, and resolution of complex employee and organizational matters. This is a hybrid, staff augmentation role based in Redmond, WA, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering data-driven HR solutions, strengthening manager capability, and fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture. Job Responsibilities
- Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex issues related to policy, culture, and employee relations, partnering with HR and Legal teams as needed to maintain a safe and professional work environment
- Identify and escalate trends in employee relations and collaborate with partners to implement solutions that reduce recurring issues and improve overall outcomes
- Provide expert consulting to managers and employees on HR programs, processes, and initiatives, influencing decision-making through strong judgment and context-based insights
- Use data-driven insights to anticipate training and capability needs, recommending and delivering targeted solutions such as training or communications
- Evaluate HR processes for opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency, partnering with HR operations and technology teams to design and scale solutions
- Apply HR policies consistently across programs including leave, retirement, immigration, and performance management, ensuring compliance and consistency
- Support day-to-day HR inquiries, performance conversations, and employee relations matters, ensuring timely follow-through and thorough case documentation
- Identify common themes or recurring questions and contribute to improvements in guidance, resources, or processes over time
- Embody organizational culture and values in all interactions
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in HR consulting or employee relations, with a focus on supporting managers and employees with HR-related questions and issues
- 2 or more years of experience with performance management processes and providing coaching support to managers
- 1 to 2 years of experience in case management and documentation, tracking and resolving issues or requests in a structured and organized manner
- Experience working within large or matrixed organizations is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is a plus
- Deep expertise in HR consultation, employee relations, and performance management practices
- Strong ability to coach and advise managers and employees on complex workplace matters
- Proficiency in case management and structured documentation of HR issues and requests
- Ability to apply HR policies and practices consistently and equitably across a large organization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization
- Sound judgment and the ability to remain impartial and objective when handling sensitive matters
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience identifying workflow inefficiencies and contributing to process improvement initiatives
- Ability to collaborate across matrixed environments including HR, Legal, and Compliance teams
- Familiarity with data-driven approaches to HR decision-making and capability building

- Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid)
- Duration: 6 months
- Pay Range*: $24.50 - $28 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
