What You Will Do*
-
Follows blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
-
Performs troubleshooting, calibrations or modifications of hardware, fixtures and software.
-
Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify systems and components/assemblies.
-
Maintains records of production and reports any issues while following standard procedures.
-
Interprets data and accurately records time changes, test data, parts usage, etc.
-
Utilizes microelectronic, electronic, optical, or electro-optical equipment, including computers and lasers.
-
Provides technical solutions to engineering.
-
Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
-
Reworks and repairs various electrical and electromechanical systems and components/assemblies as needed.
-
May assist engineering with the design of printed circuit boards and prototypes (wire and insert parts).

May be trained/certified in multiple skills.
-
May train and mentor new technicians.

1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm
Work Environment

You may occasionally need to provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs.

Physical Demands

Due to the nature of our work, you will need to be able to perform the following functions, with or without reasonable accommodation

Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements

Bending, stooping, reaching, turning as needed to place units in test stands, pick up totes, place units on rack, etc.

Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation)

Must be able to stand for 2 hour increments without an opportunity to sit

Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Transporting product with or without product carts
What You Will Learn
-
Technical Proficiency: Gain hands-on experience reading blueprints, using test equipment, and operating mechanical and electronic tools to meet precise engineering specifications.
-
Quality and Compliance: Learn to document test data, record acceptance results, and adhere to Collins Aerospace quality systems, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-
Process Discipline: Develop skills in following structured work instructions, managing production schedules, and maintaining traceability through SAP and other digital systems.
-
Team Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Build communication and troubleshooting abilities by working cross-functionally, participating in audits, and supporting process improvement efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
-
Experience with component-level troubleshooting
-
Experience with schematics or blueprints
-
Experience with using multimeters, oscilloscope, and/or spectrum analyzer
-
Must have successfully completed and RTX skillbridge internship program.
Qualifications We Prefer
-
Associate’s degree in Electronics and/or certification in Electronics
-
Experience in the aerospace industry
-
Experience with thermal tables, vibrational tables, and test rigs.
-
Experience with electronics in the testing field
-
3-4 years of relevant experience in a component-level troubleshooting environment
-
Must have successfully completed and RTX skillbridge internship program.
