About the opportunity
We own and operate multiple wedding and event venues across the San Diego area and we're building out our marketing presence from the ground up. We're looking for a skilled digital marketer who can take ownership of our online visibility, drive leads, and convert interest into booked contracts.
This isn't a role for someone who needs hand-holding — it's for someone who sees a portfolio of venues with untapped potential and knows exactly what to do with it. You'll have creative freedom, real ownership over strategy, and direct financial upside tied to your results.
As an added income opportunity, candidates with strong photo and video skills have the option to be incorporated directly into our wedding packages — shooting and delivering professional photo and video coverage for every wedding booked at our venues, paid at a guaranteed rate per event. This creates a reliable, recurring income stream alongside your marketing commission.
Roles & responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and manage paid ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram targeting engaged couples and event planners
- Develop and execute a Google SEO strategy to increase organic search visibility for each venue
- Create and optimize landing pages, Google Business profiles, and venue listings
- Shoot and edit photo and video content to showcase each venue for ads, social media, and website use
- Edit and produce reels, highlight videos, and promotional content that drives engagement and inquiries
- Optionally serve as the on-site photo and video professional for weddings booked at our venues, delivering polished final galleries and films
- Write and manage ad copy, creative briefs, and social content aligned with each venue's brand
- Track campaign performance, analyze data, and optimize for lead generation and conversion
- Identify and pursue partnership or referral opportunities with wedding planners, photographers, and vendors
- Report on key metrics: impressions, click-through rates, cost per lead, and booked contracts
- Collaborate with ownership on overall growth strategy and marketing direction
What we're looking for
- Proven experience with Facebook and Instagram Ads — you know how to build campaigns that convert, not just get clicks
- Solid Google SEO knowledge — on-page, local SEO, and Google Business optimization
- Photo and video experience — ability to capture high-quality content on-location and edit it to a professional standard
- Video editing proficiency — comfortable producing reels, highlight videos, and short-form content (experience with tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or CapCut a plus)
- Wedding or event photography/videography experience is a strong plus for the package add-on opportunity
- Experience in the wedding, events, or hospitality industry is a strong plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset — self-directed, resourceful, and motivated by results
- Comfortable with a commission-based structure and the risk/reward that comes with it
- Strong written communication and creative instincts
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and venues simultaneously
- Portfolio or verifiable examples of past campaign results and creative work strongly preferred
