The
Director Sales Effectiveness provides leadership, oversight and direction to the sales effectiveness and sales learning teams, fostering an atmosphere of world-class performance and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to drive sales readiness, accelerate time-to-productivity, optimize sales processes and technology, and support revenue growth through effective enablement strategies, training programs, performance insights, and scalable sales support solutions.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Leads the team to implement high-impact sales effectiveness, enablement, and onboarding solutions that support the strategic direction of senior sales leadership and accelerate sales productivity.
- Responsible for implementation of changes to sales roles and responsibilities, models, team configurations, and readiness programs to maximize sales performance.
- Translates strategies into specific goals, tactics, action plans, and deliverables and ensures successful execution and measurable results.
- Engages with and supports Sales Incentive Plan strategies while aligning enablement initiatives to business growth objectives.
- Leads sales communications, content management, and end-user experience improvements to drive consistency in messaging and execution.
- Builds and maintains collaborative, productive partnerships across sales, marketing, operations, reporting, and leadership teams.
- Identifies and assesses needs and solutions to support and improve go-to-market effectiveness, sales readiness, and product adoption.
- Owns and oversees implementation of sales tools, CRM platforms, materials, methodologies, playbooks, and training resources to improve sales associates' and leaders' market readiness.
- Partners with sales and reporting teams to establish and monitor key performance indicators, including pipeline health, win rates, sales cycle metrics, and conversion performance.
- Oversees and leads the development and implementation of comprehensive performance-based learning and development strategies.
- Delivers integrated performance-based learning solutions aligned to business objectives and revenue growth priorities.
- Determines high-level performance improvement needs, prioritizes learning and enablement projects, and drives continuous optimization of sales effectiveness programs.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, And Experience
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in sales enablement, sales effectiveness, sales operations, or revenue enablement functions, including responsibility for onboarding, training, coaching, and sales readiness programs preferred.
- Demonstrated success building scalable enablement strategies that accelerate time-to-productivity, improve sales performance, and support revenue growth objectives preferred.
- Strong experience partnering with sales leadership, marketing, operations, and analytics teams to support sales readiness, onboarding programs, lead generation efforts, content management, and consistent messaging across the sales organization preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate pipeline metrics, win rates, conversion data, sales funnel performance, and CRM insights into actionable recommendations, coaching strategies, and business improvements preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce and other sales technologies, combined with healthcare, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical, infusion, provider-facing, or other complex B2B healthcare sales environments and a strong understanding of referral-based or relationship-driven selling models preferred.
