Job Summary
The Associate Technician, Quality Assurance and Safety (Warehouse) support the PBL division by monitoring warehouse, kitting, and operational activities to ensure compliance with established processes, procedures, and safety standards. This role focuses on observation, auditing, documentation, and process improvement, helping maintain consistency, safety, and operational discipline across daily activities within the Ogden, Utah warehouse.
Roles and Responsibilities
Observe daily warehouse operations to ensure adherence to established processes, procedures, and standard work
Identify process deviations, inefficiencies, and compliance gaps; recommend improvements
Maintain detailed observation logs and provide accurate, fact-based reporting
Verify completion and accuracy of operational logs, inspections, and documentation
Conduct daily safety walks and monitor proper PPE usage and safe work practices
Identify hazards or unsafe conditions and document/report findings appropriately
Support safety initiatives including Courage to Care and Safety Energy programs
Perform audits such as internal audits, Gemba walks, safety audits, QVIs, and personnel evaluations
Document audit findings, track results, and ensure follow-up on corrective actions
Create, update, and maintain standard work instructions, forms, and process documentation
Maintain audit, inspection, and compliance records and reporting metrics (including USAF reporting requirements)
Conduct daily operational checks including safety boards, Tier 1/Tier 2 participation, and warehouse floor observations
Verify completion of equipment inspections (forklifts, ladders, hoists, pallet jacks)
Support weekly and monthly reporting, safety communications, and document control activities
Report and document safety incidents, near misses, and first aid cases in accordance with procedures
Partner with operations and leadership to drive process improvements and compliance efforts
Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly both verbally and in writing
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Basic math and data analysis skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Self-motivated with strong accountability and follow-through
US Citizen required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in warehouse operations, quality assurance, auditing, or process improvement
Familiarity with safety programs, inspections, or compliance reporting
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Prior exposure to KPI tracking, audits, or operational reporting environments
Ability to access military base on occasion
