What You'll Be Doing..
We are looking for a Senior Manager - AI/ML Engineering in the AI Engineering, Platforms and Governance organization.Business Group in India to lead Sales Systems. In this role, This leader and the team will own, drive and partner the platform KPIs for use cases driven by BUs. At Verizon, we are at a pivotal point to industrialize our AI capabilities platforms to next-gen standards. . This person must have excellent communication, project management, and strategic thinking skills, Deep understanding of AI and GenAI concepts and Architectures along with strong technical experience, and reports to the Sr Director in Verizon India.
- Driving technical solutions, Designs, Code Delivery, and Certification of the applications
- Ensuring that the systems are robust, scalable, reusable, cloud native, and 24/7 availability.
- Ensuring that systems can support major business events
- Providing leadership and accountability for the above and ensure that complex designs come to closure, minimizing impacts to internal AI system
- Driving DevSecOps implementation including ideation, business case, architecture, design, stakeholder management, development, trials and delivery using industry standard processes and tools.
- Partnering with peers in the industry and bench mark architecture and AI infra standards
- Having focused attention on security. Infuse and adopt AI automation best practices
- Adopting Copilot tools to drive efficiencies into platform processes and drive increased productivity of the teams.
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What We’re Looking For...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Six or more years of work experience.
- Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or specialized training.
- Strategic Architecture: Deep expertise in Multi-Cloud/Hybrid-Cloud (AWS, Azure,GCP) specifically for high-compute AI workloads within a Cloud Native Kubernetes environment.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s), and GitOps to ensure the platform is as reproducible as it is powerful.
- Financial Operations (FinOps): Ability to manage the high costs of GPU clusters and compute credits through strategic resource allocation.
- AI Ready Data Integration: Expertise in connecting AI platforms to enterprise data warehouses and feature stores.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience with KServe, MLflow, and Vertex AI
- HPC optimization with NVIDIA stack
- Distributed batch processing and real time inferencing frameworks e.g. Seldon, Ray
