Wireless Intrusion Detection Specialist Level III
The successful candidate shall deliver comprehensive active monitoring and response (M&R) services designed to detect unauthorized signals and provide mitigation recommendations across all organizational facilities.
Utilizing the Bastille Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) and hand-held equipment during daily operations, the successful candidate shall conduct wireless assessments to identify prohibited technologies.
Service deliverables include real-time alert analysis, threat classification, incident assessment, and incident reporting in strict accordance with ICD 503 and other applicable directives, as well as coordination with government security personnel to ensure comprehensive security posture maintenance.
The successful candidate shall conduct research and prepare formal recommendations for wireless devices under consideration for addition to the Authorized Equipment List (AEL) IAW the Technical Security and Signals Countermeasures (TSSC) Wireless Survey Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Utilizing wireless monitoring systems, the Contractor shall systematically identify unauthorized signals and develop recommended mitigation strategies. Upon detection of system alerts, the Contractor shall deploy mobile tools to locate the source device, coordinate appropriate Personnel Security Officer (PSO) response actions, and generate comprehensive follow-on reporting documentation to ensure complete incident resolution and organizational awareness.
The successful candidate shall conduct all M&R activities IAW the Technical Security and Signals Countermeasures Wireless Survey Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
WIDS Specialist Level III (West) shall possess a
● Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience or Associate’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or High School / GED with 8 years of relevant experience.
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI with polygraph
● US citizenship required
Desired Experience
Experience in WIDS administrative functions, metrics, and active M&R.
Experience with wireless monitoring equipment to identify unauthorized signals and make recommended mitigations and response.
Experience with mobile wireless direction-finding equipment and signal detection, identification, and reporting.
Experience working with the IC and DOW elements and supporting Contractor base.
Experience in writing operating procedures and reporting templates to ensure best practices are being implemented across the sections in accordance with national and DOW requirements.
Comprehensive knowledge of National and DOW directives, orders, regulations, and instructions governing the conduct of WIDS activities.
Comprehensive knowledge of wireless protocols and Radio Frequency (RF) theory.
