Description:You will be the Research Librarian (Level 2) for the Library Services Team. Our team is responsible for providing reference and research information services, promoting library resources, and supporting collection development.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Research Librarian (Level 2) you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely research support to internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide reference and research services using online databases, periodicals, corporate materials, and government documents.
- Analyze, organize, package, and present research results in clear, actionable formats.
- Promote library services through presentations, training sessions, and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Assist with circulation, collection development, and ongoing maintenance of library resources.
- Support an interim onsite schedule before transitioning to part‑time telecommute (under 50% remote).

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:- Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science.
- Knowledge and experience with these typical library services: customer interaction, reference assistance, resource selection, material acquisition, circulation of resources, cataloging of materials, collection maintenance, and document delivery.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with employees at various organizational levels and professions.
- Experience working in a library.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills:Experience conducting in-depth research using online databases, technical/scientific literature, business information. Knowledge of government agencies, industry standards, AI tools. Detail-oriented, self-starter.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
