Overview
The Parking Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing parking transactions. This role manages cash, credit, and digital payments, issues parking tickets or validations, and assists customers with parking-related questions. The Parking Cashier ensures smooth daily operations and contributes to a safe, welcoming parking environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Collect and process parking fees using cash, credit/debit cards, or electronic payment systems
- Issue tickets, receipts, validations, and access credentials as required
- Balance cash drawer and complete shift-end reconciliation reports
- Monitor parking entry and exit points to maintain orderly traffic flow
- Provide directions, parking information, and general assistance to customers
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve basic issues or escalate as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier booth or work area
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate cash registers, POS systems, or parking equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Previous experience as a cashier, parking attendant, or customer service role preferred
- Familiarity with automated parking systems or ticketing software
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English is required
