Overview
The
Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and equipment. This role ensures that all plumbing systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations and local codes while supporting overall facility operations.
Pay: $25.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures
- Diagnose plumbing issues and perform effective troubleshooting and repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems
- Repair or replace pipes, fittings, valves, faucets, and fixtures
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Respond to emergency plumbing issues in a timely manner
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with other maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors as need
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Plumbing License (Journeyman or Master preferred, based on state requirements)
- 2–5+ years of plumbing experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in commercial or facility maintenance environments
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or general maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
- Valid driver’s license (if job requires travel between sites)
