Compensation Workday Configuration Analyst
KBR is seeking a Compensation Workday Configuration Analyst to serve as the primary Workday configuration expert supporting Compensation and Advanced Compensation programs. Reporting to the HRIS leadership team, this role is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, optimization, and ongoing support of compensation processes within Workday, including annual merit cycles, bonus planning, equity programs, compensation eligibility frameworks, reporting, and data governance.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience configuring Workday Advanced Compensation and partnering with Compensation and People teams to translate compensation strategies into scalable system solutions. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the successful administration of annual compensation programs while driving continuous improvement, system integrity, and operational excellence across the Workday platform.
Trinzic is being established as an independent public company through the planned separation of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business, which is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary configuration expert for Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation, designing, building, and maintaining compensation plans, eligibility rules, compensation review cycles, bonus plans, equity programs, compensation pools, and related business processes.
- Lead the end-to-end configuration, testing, validation, and execution of annual compensation programs, including merit increases, bonus planning, compensation statements, and salary review processes.
- Configure and maintain compensation frameworks that align with Total Rewards strategies, organizational structures, and business requirements.
- Partner closely with Compensation, Total Rewards, HR, and business stakeholders to translate compensation program requirements into scalable Workday solutions and recommend best practices based on system capabilities.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Workday compensation reports, dashboards, hubs, and data extracts to support compensation planning, audits, analytics, and decision-making.
- Support compensation-related Workday releases, enhancements, and cycle readiness activities through system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and issue resolution.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance through audit controls, validation processes, security configuration, and adherence to data governance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex compensation system and data issues while providing clear communication and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-volume data loads utilizing EIBs and other Workday tools to support compensation and broader HR initiatives.
- Provide Tier 2 Workday support and contribute to knowledge management, documentation, training materials, and end-user education
- Support configuration and maintenance activities across Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, and other Workday functional areas as needed; however, the primary focus of the role remains Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
- Workday Pro Certification in Compensation, Advanced Compensation, HCM, or a related Workday module preferred.
- 5+ years of Workday HRIS experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation configuration experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently configuring and supporting Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation in a production environment, including annual merit, bonus, incentive, and other compensation planning cycles.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Hands-on expertise configuring Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation, including compensation cycles, business processes, reporting, and security.
- Strong knowledge of compensation programs and practices, including merit, bonus, incentive, and equity programs.
- Experience delivering scalable Workday solutions and translating business requirements into system configurations.
- Proficiency with Workday reporting tools, calculated fields, and data analysis.
- Experience supporting Workday releases, testing, and production deployments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro Certification in Compensation and/or Advanced Compensation.
- Experience supporting global compensation programs and annual compensation review cycles.
- Experience with Compensation Statements, Mass Operation Management, BIRT reporting, and other advanced Workday compensation processes.
- Experience supporting large, complex, or publicly traded organizations.
- Experience across additional Workday functional areas, such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, or Talent.
