The Role
As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will lead one of our specialty or acute-care departments, overseeing technicians and assistants working in clinically demanding, high-stakes environments.
This role is for someone who:
- Is already a go-to technician
- Leads through competence, consistency, and presence
- Thinks in systems, not just shifts
- Balances patient care excellence with team sustainability
- Is comfortable making decisions and holding standards
You will not be micromanaged. You will be expected to lead.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading, coaching, and developing technicians within your assigned department
- Setting and enforcing clinical, behavioral, and operational standards
- Partnering closely with specialists, ER clinicians, and hospital leadership
- Overseeing onboarding, training, and progression through defined leveling frameworks
- Addressing performance concerns early, directly, and fairly
- Improving workflows, reducing friction, and protecting patient safety
- Serving as a visible, trusted leader on the floor
This is a working leader role. Clinical credibility is non-negotiable.

Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (preferred)
- Leadership experience in a veterinary setting
- Strong clinical background in specialty and/or emergency medicine
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead through complexity, urgency, and change
