About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Digital Product Manager, as part of the Artificial Intelligence team.

You will serve as the most senior individual contributor on the product team, owning the strategy for an enterprise-wide portfolio of AI and GenAI products-including Dash, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork, and Claude Cowork. In this role, you will lead through influence rather than formal authority, operating with broad autonomy to tackle the firm's most ambitious and ambiguous challenges.
You will define and drive the multi-year product vision, establish the standards and frameworks adopted across teams, and guide cross-functional groups of engineers, data scientists, and designers to deliver solutions at scale. As the primary product liaison to key AI partners-including Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft-you will translate external platform roadmaps into enterprise capabilities while representing Wells Fargo's priorities and requirements back to those partners.
Working across lines of business and corporate functions, you will identify core user segments and critical workflows, ensuring products deliver meaningful business impact. You will engage senior executives to align strategy, secure investment, and accelerate adoption across the firm.
This is an enterprise-wide, executive-facing role at the intersection of product strategy, AI innovation, and business transformation, with governance and controls embedded throughout the model lifecycle. You will play a pivotal role in shaping where and how the firm invests in AI, while setting the bar for product excellence across the organization.
In this role, you will:- Act as a top subject matter expert to lead digital products, initiatives, for a functional area within the digital environment with enterprise impact, high risk and/or with significant scope, cost, and benefits
- Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant development and execution of digital business plans, programs and initiatives which have significant impact across multiple areas or the enterprise
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, broad-reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
- Coordinate highly complex activities and resolution
- Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area
- Influence, digital strategy for the business line or enterprise that significantly impacts the organization's business and financial operations
- Strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
- Serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- Represent the company externally in industry networking and trade and technical events
Required Qualifications:- 10+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering and launching AI/ML or generative AI products in a real-world business environment
- 5+ years of deep expertise across the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including data discovery, data processing, model development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring
Desired Qualifications:- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale products and platforms, with measurable impact across multiple business units or functional domains
- Strong agile mindset, with the ability to iterate quickly, incorporate feedback early, and adapt to evolving priorities
- Demonstrated ownership of product strategy and roadmap across a domain or portfolio, effectively balancing near-term outcomes with long-term vision in complex, ambiguous environments
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to lead through influence-without formal authority-and align cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and executive leaders
- Experience mentoring and developing product managers, and establishing standards and best practices that are adopted beyond the immediate team
