DUTIES : Perform General Ledger functions. Assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Identify, interpret, and analyze potential accounting risks and issues. Research and analyze accounting transactions and contracts and document technical accounting memos. Identify and execute appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance, and financial procedures. Partner with Finance to determine accounting implications of transactions and perform analytical analyses to utilize when making all material business decisions. Assist with internal and external financial reporting, including analyzing consolidated results, drafting and performing first level review of SEC documents, and management review reports to ensure quality and strict timelines. Support requests of internal and external auditors to ensure open matters are resolved timely. Evaluate current accounting practices and policies and drive continuous improvement. Research, interpret, and draft documentation related to new accounting standards and brainstorm how each applies to GM as well as comply with external 10-Q/10-K reporting requirements. Provide direction to a team of individuals with similar functional responsibility. Hybrid Work Policy – 3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote – Must Be Able To Report Listed Local Office.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field and Five (5) years of experience as an Accountant, Operations Analyst, Corporate Material Broker, or related role. Five (5) years of experience with: Executing internal audit controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and financial procedures; Financial reporting, including analyzing consolidated results and reviewing SEC documentation; Performing General Ledger functions; Technical accounting, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); Financial systems, including SAP, Oracle, or other ERP system for accounting, reporting, and compliance; and Financial risk analysis.
