The Pratt & Whitney Government Pricing team has an immediate opportunity within the Military Engines Program for a Principle Specialist, ME - FP&A Development Pricing.
This is will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.
What You Will Do:
- Contributing to all aspects of proposal preparation, fact-finding, negotiations, and sweeps.
- Collaborating with various departments across Pratt & Whitney to develop and refine proposals.
- Identifying customer-specific requirements for proposal content and format
Gathering, formatting, and disclosing cost and pricing data for specific contract actions.
- Utilizing pricing systems such as SAP and ProPricer, and working with pricing models that integrate data from multiple systems.
- Ensuring proposals comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Public Law.
- Developing innovative pricing strategies to address complex customer requirements.
- Delivering presentations to leadership and customers in support of pricing activities.
- Participating in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements related to the proposal process.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of applicable work experience; OR an advanced degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years of applicable work experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), (TINA) and/or other Government Procurement regulations as they pertain to Bid/Cost proposals.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Proposals and Pricing, Engineering BOMs, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- Demonstrated Bid/Cost Proposal development and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to support large sole-source and/or competitive proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with proposal teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the team.
- Proven experience managing audit readiness and collaborating with external auditors such as DCAA and DCMA.
- Familiarity with pricing tools like SAP or ProPricer.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and facilitation abilities
Strong presentation skills, with confidence in engaging with customers and leadership.
- A track record of driving process improvements through Continuous Improvement, or Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or Six Sigma.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
