Work directly with Warehouse, Merchandising and Replenishment team to manage inbound and on hand Fresh Produce. Monitoring for Quality and Condition, making accept, reject, or accept with issue calls at time of receiving and determining dump from inventory for poor quality and or remaining shelf life based on market Best Practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Hours: Sunday-Thursday 6am-2:30pm Communicate daily with the PCOM, buyers and warehouse manager on all issues related to produce items. Make recommendations on dump and damage or refreshing of inventory. Inspect and verify quality and condition of inbound produce loads. Inspect all inbound trucks for signs of pest and rodents before unloading. Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of Produce items. Identify any issues to warehouse management. Inspect all inbound produce loads for Quality and Condition. Document and digitally report on findings using the latest technologies. Report any violations to PCOM, Warehouse Receiving and Buyer. Responsible for monitoring proper rotation for all produce inventory and reporting violations of LIFO to Inventory Control and Warehouse Manager. Perform daily quality inspections for all produce items. Perform daily date checks and pull all out dated product from pick and reserve slots. Complete daily dump and damage report and give to warehouse supervisor or inventory control and Replenishment. Complete all other market assigned duties by PCOM based on needs to support sales growth. Ability to lift 50 lbs Microsoft Office Suite Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time Team-player – flexible and willing to learn new things and adapt as the business evolves Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
