We have an entry level position that will be responsible for the following:
* Prepare and document sales and use tax,
business license and personal property tax
returns and ensure their timely filing and
payment.
* Support the Audit and Planning organization as needed on state and local audits.
* Conduct tax training for serves businesses.
* Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with
applicable tax laws and to support the business planning process.
* Support vendor inquiries and research and prepare tax exemption certificates.
* Support the preparation of overpayment submissions.
* Reconcile tax accounts as required.
* Support process improvements to improve operating efficiency and support their implementation.
* Represent organization as needed on special assignments.
* Team is on-site a minimum 1 day per week for engagement, collaboration, solutioning challenges, and sharing knowledge/training.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in an Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Previous financial, accounting and/or tax exposure.
Good analytical skills.
Effective written and verbal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc)
Desired Skills:
Big 4 or Corporate tax experience
CPA candidate
Experience with data analytic tools, such as Alteryx and Tableau

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
