Overview
The
Utility Technician is responsible for supporting facility operations through routine maintenance, cleaning, and operation of utility systems and equipment. This role assists with maintaining a safe, efficient, and functional environment by performing a variety of tasks across multiple building systems and services.
Pay: $19.00/hour.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility systems such as water, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment
- Support troubleshooting of basic issues related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and work areas
- Monitor building systems and report any irregularities or needed repairs
- Assist skilled trades (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians) with projects and repairs
- Perform minor repairs such as replacing filters, bulbs, belts, and basic components
- Handle general facility upkeep tasks including waste removal, material handling, and equipment setup
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies
- Document completed tasks and update work orders as required
- Respond to emergency situations or service calls as needed
Qualifications
- Must have Valid Driver's License
- 1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, or utility-related experience preferred
- Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple trades
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time management skills
