HAZMAT Analyst to join our team in
Oahu, HI.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Maintains and reviews compliance records to ensure hazardous material operations meet federal and international legal standards.
- Draft contract clauses and technical specifications for the procurement of HAZMAT storage and transportation services.
- Prepare routine reports for management regarding regulatory updates and potential compliance vulnerabilities.
- Coordinates with theater logistics partners to ensure all HAZMAT shipments are documented in accordance with the status of forces agreements (SOFA) and local environmental laws.
- Assist in the legal review of subcontracting agreements to ensure proper flow-down of safety and environmental requirements.
- Monitor regional logistical data to identify trends and ensure persistent compliance during surges in cargo movement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Logistics, Business, or a related field;
- 3+ years of position-relevant experience; foundational certification in HAZMAT handling or environmental compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+years of position-relevant experience; familiarity with USINDOPACOM logistics hubs and dangerous goods manifests; experience supporting legal or contracts departments in a DoD environment.
Clearance Requirements
- Must hold an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
