Overview
ABM is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to support the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of facilities within the Waymo expansion portfolio. This role serves as a critical technical resource during facility buildouts, infrastructure upgrades, EV charging deployments, and operational readiness activities. The Construction Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, design consultants, contractors, facility teams, and Waymo stakeholders to ensure construction projects are executed efficiently and meet all engineering, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
Pay: $135,000–$150,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
1. Engineering & Construction Management

Lead field execution and construction oversight for facility buildouts, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and operational improvement projects.

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design documents, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Review engineering drawings, construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and technical specifications.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, utility providers, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain project momentum.

Manage installation and commissioning of electrical distribution, EV charging, HVAC, fire/life safety, BAS, security, and communications infrastructure.
2. Project Execution & Stakeholder Management

Support project planning, scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, and resource forecasting.

Partner with Waymo Real Estate, Facilities, Operations, Design, and Program Management teams.
3. Commissioning & Operational Readiness
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Strong understanding of construction management, building systems, budgeting, scheduling, and safety requirements.
