Overview
The
Custodial Manager is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing custodial staff, and ensuring facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and supporting operational efficiency across assigned locations.

Compensation: $70,000.00/ annual salary (US Dollars)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily custodial operations across assigned facilities
- Supervise, train, and develop custodial staff and team leads
- Create and manage work schedules to ensure proper staffing and coverage
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and quality expectations are met
- Implement and enforce cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and safety regulations
- Address client or facility concerns promptly and professionally
- Oversee special projects such as floor care, deep cleaning, and event setups
- Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
- 2–5+ years of custodial or facilities management experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
