Administrative Assistant (Contract)

Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-level administrative support within a fast-paced, technically sophisticated organization focused on Azure cloud services, AI adoption, cloud analytics, and global data center operations. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical operational partner to senior engineering leaders and teams, ensuring seamless day-to-day functions across a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills, executive presence, and a customer-service mindset who thrives under pressure and contributes positively to team culture. The position operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring three days onsite per week, and offers the opportunity to work alongside some of the most innovative engineering minds in the industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage complex calendaring and scheduling for engineering leaders and senior stakeholders, including CVP-level leadership
- Coordinate meetings, events, and day-to-day operational support across a highly technical organization
- Plan and execute team morale events while managing large morale budgets and tracking related expenses
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including employee setup and training follow-up reminders
- Support travel coordination, executive expense processing, and partnership with executive travel teams
- Assist with headcount tracking, people movement coordination, and PCN management activities
- Manage procurement of goods and services including computer equipment, office supplies, and vendor relationships
- Serve as a primary department or group contact and provide general office support
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships to support a positive and collaborative team culture
- Complete special projects as assigned by leadership
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of administrative or executive support experience in a corporate environment
- Experience supporting senior leaders, engineering teams, or executive-level stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience coordinating onboarding activities, training follow-ups, and new hire setup
- Background in morale event planning, budget tracking, and expense management
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, technically focused organization is strongly preferred
- Strong calendar management and scheduling skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Experience coordinating team morale events and managing associated budgets
- Proficiency in ordering and managing office supplies and equipment procurement
- Familiarity with travel coordination and executive expense management processes
- Ability to support headcount management, people movement tracking, and space or seating coordination
- Demonstrated professionalism, executive presence, and ability to engage effectively with senior leadership
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Details
- Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)
- Duration: 13 months
- Pay Range*: $27.50 - $31 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
