Description:Operate, start up, shut down, and maintain high pressure boilers, chillers, air compressors and auxiliary equipment throughout the Central Plant to supply heat, hot water, steam, compressed air, and chilled water to the Stratford plant facilities.
Operate, start up, shut down, and maintain the cogeneration system - including the gas-powered turbine, duct burner, and energy recovery equipment. Must make critical operational decisions regarding the import or export of electrical power and independently diagnose and resolve equipment or process issues observed in the control room or during rounds, ensuring reliable and safe plant operation.
Basic Qualifications:1. Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, and compressed air systems - including all auxiliary equipment - and the ability to read and accurately interpret their meters and related instrumentation.
2. Equivalent to 2 years high school plus 2‑3 years specialized trades training in power plant operation.
3. Requires State OE‑2, S‑1 or S‑2 certification.
4. Experience: 2‑3 years of high‑pressure steam, chiller equipment, and air compressors.
5. U.S. Citizenship required.
6. Must be able to work any shift during a 7‑day work week.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
