Overview
ABM is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyperson to maintain the appearance, functionality, and safety of commercial office facilities. This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and facility support tasks including carpentry, painting, basic electrical work, plumbing support, furniture assembly, and general building upkeep.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Pay: $24+

Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout office and commercial facilities.
- Complete minor carpentry projects, including furniture assembly, cabinet repairs, and fixture installation.
- Perform painting, patching, and cosmetic repairs to walls, ceilings, sidewalks, and other facility surfaces.
- Conduct basic repairs and troubleshooting of building equipment and appliances.
- Assist with furniture moves, office reconfigurations, and event setups.
- Support electrical, plumbing, and HVAC technicians with maintenance projects and repairs.
- Perform routine grounds maintenance and landscaping activities as needed.
- Identify maintenance concerns and report major repair needs to management.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, handyman services, or related field.
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and facility repair practices.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Basic computer skills for work orders, communication, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred
- Experience maintaining commercial office buildings or corporate facilities.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Trades-related certifications or technical training.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands for operating tools and equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance.
- Ability to safely navigate ladders, stairs, and elevated work areas as required.
- Sufficient hearing, vision, and mobility to perform maintenance and repair tasks safely.
