Scope of Position
Performing all phases of piping installation including underground pipe routing, flange install, and
experience with stainless steel and chemical piping.
Job Responsibilities
- Mechanical Equipment
- Measure materials or distances, using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work.
- Basic knowledge and comprehension of blue prints
- Lay out for pump pads, pipe hangers and supports.
- Set equipment in place using various lifting devices.
- Demo existing equipment and pipe.
- Conduct test on new pipe and assist on equipment start up procedures.
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points
being made, asking questions as appropriate
- Pipe Installation
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
- Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
- Connect pipe pieces and seal joints.
- Install or repair sanitary or storm-water sewer structures or pipe systems.
- Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand tools.
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with
supervisors. - Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
Education/Experience
High school diploma preferred, minimum of four years in similar facility construction.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc.
- Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the
construction or repair of buildings, or other structures. - Design - Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision
technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. - Mechanical - Basic knowledge of machines, pumps, piping systems and tools, including their designs,
uses, repair, and maintenance. - Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient
to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry,
move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and
finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read
application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk
and hear.
