POSITIONS INCLUDE: B10F Food Handler Labor 0001 - Chicago Plant (Bruss)
Schedule/Hours: A-shift: 5am-2pm
Starting pay: $20.95/HR
General Laborer – Food Production
This position is responsible for performing a variety of production-related tasks in a food manufacturing environment. Team members may be assigned to departments including, but not limited to, Top Butt Line, Bone-In Line, Ground Beef, Packaging, Marination, and Distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process, package, and handle beef and pork products in accordance with food safety, quality, and production standards.
- Operate equipment and perform production line tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Must be able and willing to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Some positions may require the use of knives, cutting tools, or other production equipment.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a food production facility where temperatures typically range from 36°F to 42°F to maintain product quality and freshness.
- Exposure to raw beef and pork products is required.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
