Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Technician to support safety initiatives within our PCS Operations team. The Safety Technician plays a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring employees and contractors comply with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements, company policies, and established operating procedures. This position requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, conducting field observations, leading safety initiatives, investigating incidents, and partnering with operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate combines strong safety knowledge with mechanical aptitude and the ability to effectively engage employees, contractors, and leadership teams.
Pay: $28 - $35
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Promote and reinforce a culture of safety throughout PCS operations.
- Conduct behavioral-based safety observations and coach employees and managers on safe work practices.
- Lead and participate in safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Incident Prevention & Investigation
- Drive injury and incident prevention initiatives focused on reducing risk and promoting safe behaviors.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitate implementation of effective safety processes and safe work methods across the department.
- Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.
Training & Employee Engagement
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly safety training sessions.
- Conduct quarterly emergency response and safety drills to improve awareness and preparedness.
- Participate in and support weekly safety meetings.
- Serve as a safety resource for employees, contractors, and management teams.
Operational Support
- Work closely with PCS operations teams to support critical maintenance activities.
- Assist with safety oversight for equipment maintenance, including pump replacement projects.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and helium leak testing processes as required.
- Work in a cleanroom environment while wearing full cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a Safety Technician, Safety Coordinator, or similar EHS role.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, facilities, or maintenance operations.
- Hazmat experience preferred.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, safe work practices, and incident prevention programs.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and workplace investigations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong documentation, reporting, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing full cleanroom attire.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 11 hours per shift).
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
