TheDirectorSoftware Engineeringis a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all technology-related initiativesforTFS'sEnterpriseShared Services andframeworks. This role entails developing and executing the technology strategy to ensure alignment with overarching businessobjectives. TheDirector ofSoftware Engineeringmustleveragetheir technicalexpertiseto drive innovation and deliver impactful business outcomes. Additionally, they shouldpossessstrong influencing skills to shape strategy and forge partnerships both internally and externallycollaboratingwithTechnology Domain Owners(TDOs), Enterprise Architecture, Data Domain Owners (DDOs), and Business Domain Owners (BDOs).
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Technology Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for technology initiatives to deliver industry leading real time platform and tools that can beleveragedfor cloud based distributed systems, AI/ML, critical workflows, enabling seamless communication across systems for customer notifications, servicing updates, and operational events.
Vendor Management and Partnerships:
5+ yearsofproficiencyin Java, Spring Framework (Spring Batch, Spring Integration), streaming technologies (likekafka) andmicroservicesarchitecture.
Proventrack recordof delivering scalable cloud native solutions by developing frameworks for addressing cross cutting concerns like logging, application testing and application security and instrumentationleveragingprogramming languages like Java, Python, SQL, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
A passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimentingwithand learningnew technologies,participatingin internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code.
